Ms. Roche, a partner in the firm's San Francisco and Los Angeles offices,
focuses her practice on commercial litigation matters, specializing in
employment litigation, premises liability and accessibility litigation and
financial services litigation.
Ms. Roche is a trial attorney who has represented clients in all phases
of litigation and case management. She has successfully litigated matters
in both state and federal courts through dispositive motions, at trial and on
appeal throughout Northern and Southern California. She has extensive
experience defending clients in complex and multi-party litigation matters,
as well as class actions lawsuits. Ms. Roche also has signifant experience
with arbitrations, mediation and pre-trial settlement matters.
Ms. Roche was a member of a trial team that obtained a complete defense
verdict for a major medical device manufacturer after a six-week jury trial in
Alameda County Superior Court. In this lawsuit, plaintiff sought over $2 million
in compensatory damages as well as punitive damages. The jury deliberated
for less than three hours before returning a defense verdict.
Also noteworthy, she obtained a jury verdict in favor of defendant Century
Theatres on premises liability claims in Contra Costa County Superior Court
in Lizano v. Century Theatres; and has had several other successes at trial
in both federal and state court.
Ms. Roche is also a certified mediator who conducts private and pro bono
mediations throughout California.
