The firm has extensive experience in a wide variety of product liability litigation:
- Recently obtained a complete defense verdict for a major medical device manufacturer after a six-week jury trial in Alameda County Superior Court. (Seeno v. Mentor Corporation, Case No. RG06264787.) Plaintiff sought over $2 million in compensatory damages as well as punitive damages. The jury deliberated for less than three hours before returning a defense verdict.
- Represented several automobile parts manufacturers in toxic tort cases, including defense of asbestos exposure cases.
- Represented world’s largest supplier of unsaturated polyester resins for composites and a leading supplier of coating resins for a wide variety of markets and applications in toxic tort cases, including defense of asbestos exposure cases.
- Represented a major California utility company in a variety of cases involving allegations of defective equipment and/or improper maintenance, resulting in injury, death, or damage to property, including fire and water damage.
- Represented a garage door manufacturer in a personal injury case involving allegations of product defects and improper maintenance.
- Represented an outdoor equipment retailer in a personal injury case involving allegations of product defects and improper maintenance.
